Solar power plant on the rooftop of the Diponegoro University Rectorate: a technical and economic study

Diponegoro University's Rectorate building uses electricity from the National Electricity Company with a S2 social subscription type of 105 kVA. The designed solar power plant has capacity 25 kW, or 25% installed electrical capacity. This research aims to compare panels and inverter configurations that will be used in plants. Moreover, this study find out which configuration provide best results biggest savings. Technical analysis is carried photovoltaic system (PVSyst) software calculate energy produced by panels, losses, other results. On hand, economic RetScreen net present value (NPV), benefit cost ratio (BCR), payback period (PP). Based on PVSyst simulation results, estimated production for each variant 39,684 kWh; 39,633 39,507 39,446 kWh. first performance 84.1%. Retscreen calculation result, third an NPV $22,698, BCR 2, PP 8.7 years, result highest advantages.
